Captain’s Log: Saturday, 16 September 2017
Distance: Chennai – Mahabalipuram
We were only able to sleep like 3 or 4 hours, before we had to get up again. After breakfast, we left the Hotel for a Sightseeing Tour though the city in the bus. I do not know if it is fascinating or scary seeing how all these people manage to drive around, as it seems completely without any rules.
Our first stop was at the Fort St. George, which was not that impressive as it sounds. But it had a little museum, in which we were not allowed to take pictures. Afterwards we moved on to a church with a shrine, where the skeleton of St. Thomas were, one of the Jünger of Jesus. There was a Messe going on, and it was kind of strange. I mean, I am in a completelt different country, with completely different people, language and culture, but still the Messe was almost the same as in Austria. Judging from the few I have ever visited.
The count for the name of the travel frog seems to be at 2 for Sammakko, one for Groda and one for Chupa. I am still going to wait a bit with naming it.
The next stop was a Temple of Shiwa, one of the Gods of the Hinduism, I think. We were not allowed to take pictures there as well unfortunately, but we had a coconut to drink afterwards.
(I know, I only post pictures with my frog now, but look at it!!)
We then drove a bit further south to our next accommodation, some sort of resort right at the beach.
And the view into the park from our balcony is really nice as well.
We had a bit of time then until we had dinner, so I sat down outside, when I suddenly saw some monkeys running around.
They even had baby monkeys with them. I think they tried to steal something from a terrace from one room downstairs, but they went away empty handed.
In the evening we had dinner with all the others of our travel group, 16 all together. Most of the food was vegetarian, so I would not have to worry about that, even though the rhings, we could get from the buffet, were quite spicy. But it was good nevertheless.

Was sagt dein “Froscherl” dazu? Haha….ich denke es gefällt ihm (oder ihr?)I am looking foreward to read more from you !!!🐘🐘🐘
Pass ja auf dein Froscherl auf, die schauen sehr keck, diese Affen!
BUssi an Großmutti!
Die Affen sind eh nicht zu uns hinauf gekommen, keine Sorge ^^ Und Bussi zurück von der Großmutter (:
