VIII. Too much people

Captain’s Log: Monday, 2 April 2018

Accommodation: Ciak Hostel, Rome

Distance: Around Rome

Weather: warm and sunny, still

Since we had no special plan for today, we decided to just walk around in the city and have a look at all the free Sightseeing spots. As it seems, we were not the only ones who had this idea.

Here we were at the Trevi Fountain, looks pretty amazing, right? Well, have a look at the surrounding.

Military was standing around as well.

Our way took us then towards the Spanish Steps.

But at least we found a path to walk up, between all the people sitting and standing on them.

Afterwards we continued walking into the same direction, until we came to the Piazza del Popolo, from were we then walked back a different way, until we arrived at the Pantheon.

I am still fascinated by that building, and I am still wondering why there is a hole in the ceiling. Maybe I should look it up some time.

Anyway, we continued our journey over the river Tiber, and up a hill to the Terrazza del Gianicolo.

When we got down the hill again, we still had enough time to enjoy some Ice Cream (Nougat and Ferrero Rocher, since they did not have normal chocolate there), before returning to the Hostel again.

Even if we were there in the early evening, we still spend the day quite well.

I forgot to turn it on in the beginning, so it might have even been 17km.
