LIX. The long road back

Captain’s Log: Wednesday, 31 July 2019

Distance: Lisbon (17:50) – Vienna (22:10, hopefully)

Accommodation: Home

Weather: Sun and cloudy, I think

Today’s note to myself: Relax more on the airport.

Since it was requested, I am writing one last post about the last week here in Lisbon. I spent it in a small hostel with free breakfast, where I met a nice French girl, who invited me to join her and a friend of hers in the evenings when going out.

So, all in all, I had a nice last week here. I even went to the beach with the others, so I can say, I did indeed swim in the Atlantic!

That’s not the beach I was at, that was just the coast line in Lisbon at one point

I also did a Free Walking Tour.

That’s the beach I was at. It was just way too crowded.

I also made an excursion to the Christo Rei Statue on the other side of the river.

Today I picked up my bicycle from the shop, where I have gotten it wrapped up, and took a taxi back to my hostel to pick up my luggage.

After a long waiting time at the airport, because I was ridiculously early, I finally was able to drop off my luggage and bike without any problems, and now the only thing I have to do is to wait until I can board the plane home.
