But there was still time to have a look at the rooftop of the Hotel again, this time with daylight.

And the pool was still there as well.

My frog wanted to go for a swim, but there was not enough time for that. He understood.

The first stop was at some sort of vegetable market, where everyone was sitting on the ground and sold bananas and a lot of other green things for which I do not know the names. Back in the bus I had time to take a picture of the cows on the side of the road.

I am still fascinated by how everyone, all of the people, the dogs, the cows are used to this chaotic traffic, and everyone is able to move around without being in danger.

After a bit of driving we arrived at the first temple today. It was a Living one again, so there have been many people praying, priests running around and so on. I admit, I was too occupied with looking at all of it and watching where I was going, so I did not take any more pictures with my phone.

This one is from the outside. Inside there was an area with many other buildings, and a huge waterhole. Some of the people were washing themselves or clothes in that water, believing it will heal them or something like that.

Out tour guide told us a lot about the Hindu Gods as well. About a dancing battle between two gods, which the man won because he made a dancing move the woman did not want to copy because it was not an elegant pose. It sounds a bit strange now, but it seemed logical when she told us about it.

Afterwards we had a longer drive again to the second temple. I am actually not sure if it was a Living one or a Dead one, because on the one hand there were no priests and no people for praying there, on the other hand we still had to take off our shoes before entering which we had to do in every Living Temple.

I was very impressed by that temple. Again it had one entrance, where we left our shoes, and then we came into this area surrounded by a wall, and in the middle there was the big building, the actual temple.

There have been so many details in it, so many figures. And in the halls around it there were pillars, as well with carvings in the stone.

I just like those old temples, especially if there are not that much people.

I have to admit, I have no idea what sort of animal this was supposed to be. A lion with a trunk? A dragon with a trunk? A mixture of both?

However, we finally arrived at the next Hotel around half past 3 in the afternoon. It was some sort of Resort again, and they even had animals there.

I finally saw the Gänsemarsch in real life!

They were so cute!

and this Hotel has first awesome room keys;

And second awesome beds.

You might not be able to see hat on the picture, but these beds were actually one metre high at least, if not more. Only the dinner was not a buffet, which was a bit sad, but they had Hot Chocolate. And I also now know why this one had no buffet. We are here in the low season, so there are not many groups, not many people there, so it would not be intelligent to have a buffet for so few people. Maybe in the next one again.

Oh, and because some of you wanted to have a picture, here you are…

Captain’s Log: Tuesday, 19 September 2017 Distance: Pondicherry – Kumbakonam We left earlier today again, since we had quite a distance to drive and a lot to see on the way.
