Accommodation: Ciak Hostel, Rome<\/p>\n
Distance: A lot<\/p>\n
Weather: warm but rainy, with thunder<\/p>\n
We had a slow start in the morning, since we now did not have a limited time for breakfast. But we still got up at a reasonable time.<\/p>\n
After having breakfast we went to the supermarket, getting enough stuff to eat and to cook for the next couple of days. Since we have a good kitchen, almost for ourselves, we have to use it, right?<\/p>\n
Oh, my the way before I forget it completely, in the hostel in Naples, every breakfast table had one of these standing around.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
That was like, 3kg of pure agony, since I was still not eating chocolate and everything similar to it. Where do you even get these things?<\/p>\n
Anyway, after storing our food back at the hostel, we went towards the Colosseum again. Since it was a rainy day, we decided to have a look into a museum, which sounded interesting, the Crypta Balbi, one of the National Museums. On our way there, we passed the Colosseum, the Circus Maximus and the Piazza Venezia.<\/p>\n

As you can see, it was quite crowded already. We already planned to go inside, just not today.<\/p>\n

I was, and I still am, and I guess I will always be impressed by the Altare della Patria. It is just such an amazing piece of architecture, I just love walking past it, just as I love walking past the Colosseum.<\/p>\n
And since you have asked now for a proper picture, here we are at the remains of the Circus Maximus.<\/p>\n

Finally we arrived at the Museum, which seemed to be a little bit small in the first impression, but after we found the stairs, we quickly thought differently.<\/p>\n

It had a cellar and a second floor, so we spent quite some time in there.<\/p>\n
Afterwards we just walked around a little bit more, until the rain kinda forced us going back to the hostel.<\/p>\n

We even had a short thunderstorm with quite strong thunder. But I have to say, the images still look pretty nice with the dark clouds in the background.<\/p>\n
In the early evening we arrived in the hostel again, where we relaxed a bit before we started cooking pasta. Fortunately I had taken my spices with me from home, which was still one of the better ideas I ever had, because the food was so tasty. And I also have to admit, having a trained cook with you on your journey has nice advantages.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
