Captain’s Log: Monday, 13 August 2018<\/p>\n

Accommodation: Airbnb in Copenhagen<\/p>\n

Sightseeing Day: Drag\u00f8r & Copenhagen<\/p>\n

Weather: Cloudy with a few raindrops<\/p>\n

We started quite late in the day with a walk through the town of Drag\u00f8r, which just looks like it was a little fisher village, but it had a lovely Oldtown, with narrow streets with cobblestones and yellow houses.<\/p>\n

I apparently forgot to take pictures with my phone there, but we plan to go there again tomorrow, so… have some cat pictures in the meantime.<\/p>\n

I played with her until midday, until we finally took the bus to the city centre.<\/p>\n

There we first had lunch, but then our Sightseeing tour of the city began.<\/p>\n

We first walked through a park where also a butterfly museum was, which had a beautiful lake with a lot of sea roses.<\/p>\n

There were also interesting trees and a bridge.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Afterwards, we continued walking to a, what I still think is an observatory.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At least it looked like it.<\/p>\n

But we were only there because it was close by the Rosenborg castle, which we actually wanted to visit.<\/p>\n

It kinda looked a bit narrow from the outside in my opinion, but I don’t know maybe I’m just used to the Italian churches already.<\/p>\n

Anyway, our way led us through the park of the castle, over to the Nyhavn, one of the most iconic spots of Copenhagen, I think.<\/p>\n

Fun fact beside, I am not sure if there is one in the picture, but almost everywhere there were rainbow flags hanging around. I was already wondering why, until I found out that it’s the gay pride week, starting tomorrow and ending with the parade on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Anyway, after the Nyhavn, we continued walking at the seaside, until we reached the Amalienborg, and afterwards the Kastellet, a sort of star formed castle with water around it. That was, or still is a military basis, I guess.<\/p>\n

I really liked the colour of the buildings there.<\/p>\n

The last stop we had today was at the Little Mermaid, which apparently is the smallest landmark… Well, I’m not sure if in the world or Europe, but it is the smallest of somewhere. Even though it was not that small, but is was not big either.<\/p>\n

It was the only spot where were way too many people. Everywhere else we never had any problems with many tourists or people in general, just at this spot.<\/p>\n

We had a bit of an odyssey on our way home then, since the busses did not arrive when they were supposed to, then we did not find the bus stations, but we made it home eventually, both already very tired.<\/p>\n

We thought about walking to the beach in the evening, but since we arrived at our accommodation at around 8pm, we decided to do that tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
