Captain’s Log: Tuesday, 4 June 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Distance: Bregenz (08:15) – Konstanz (13:45), 59km<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accommodation: Camping Bruderhofer<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weather: Sunny and warm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today’s note to myself: You are allowed to take it slow, you don’t need to find excuses for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The night went not as well as I hoped it would, but i guess, I just need to get used to camping again. Anyway, after packing my tent in the morning, which went quite fast, I left the camping ground to finally start bicycling. I met the owner on my way out, the one I called the day before, and he assured me again that I wouldn’t have to pay anything for that short stay, which I still very nice. He asked me a bit about my trip, and after a short talk I left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the picture from yesterday was too dark, here is one from the same spot in daylight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I drove about 20km anti clockwise around the Bodensee before I managed to stop at a supermarket to get myself some breakfast. But at least I found a nice spot then to eat it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the short breakfast break I continued driving side by side the lake. Even though I was here already once about three years ago, I was not able to remember much of the way. So either I followed another route or they build more bicycle streets since I have been here. Or my memory is just bad, could also be the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, not much did happen during that trip, I stopped in Friedrichshafen to take some pictures;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And after about 60km I reached Meersburg around 1pm. There I had to choose between two routes. Either I take the bicycle route all around that water tongue to Konstanz, which would have been another 60 to 70 km, or I take the ferry from Meersburg to Konstanz, which many cyclists do as well on their way around the Bodensee. Since I did already drive around that long way once three years ago, and since I don’t remember anything good from it, I decided to take the shortcut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galileo was happy about it too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of this, I arrived in Konstanz earlier than planned, but that shouldn’t be a problem. I searched a camping ground at the lake and relaxed the rest of the day with chilling at the shore, eating, and playing Ukulele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now all I can do is waiting until it is dark and watch some stars. Until then I can watch some birds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
