Captain’s Log: Saturday, 22 June 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Distance: Agde (09:15) – Narbonne (15:45), 66km<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accommodation: Camping La Nautique<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weather: Sun<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today’s note to myself: Get a new Ipod of which the battery works better<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Since it got very late yesterday, I did not have so much sleep today. But nevertheless I left shortly after 9 again and searched once mor for the signs of the Eurovelo 8. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After some detours I found it again, but at some point I decided again to take the direct route over one of the main streets. I lost the way one too many times, and at some crossings there were no signs at all, and I did not want to take even more detours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But before I took the road, there were some beautiful bicycle ways along side some channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, driving side by side these channels was beautiful, even though I don’t think that some of the ways were even meant for bicycles. Maybe for mountain bikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, after that “road” I decided to take the main road. Luckily the roads were not so busy today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At some point I had to push my bike a little hill up, but it was not very far, and the view was very nice from up there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally I arrived in Narbonne, and after navigating through I found the camping ground a little bit outside of the city. This time I looked it up beforehand and knew that they also had spots for tents, and not only for caravans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have decided, since I do have enough time and since I need the break, that I am going to stay here for two nights, and hopefully I am going to be able to visit Carcassonne tomorrow by train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But for the rest of today, I relaxed at the swimming pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, I found my spot where I am going to have breakfast tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
