XVI. Florence, the first

Captain’s Log: Sunday, 30 July

Distance: Lake Bilancino – Florence, 39km

After some more hills, pushing up, a lot more sun and a finally long downhill route we finally arrived in Florence, still the three of us. Even though we did not do a lot of distance today, we were still exhausted. It seems that the sun has a lot … Weiterlesen...

XIV. Yay, the first hills

Captain’s Log: Friday, 28 July
Distance: Bologna – Marzabotto – Gardeletta, 43km

After having a big breakfast with eggs (we had to use the facilities, I mean, if we have them, we use them), we left the hostel quite late. But we planned already three days for the way to Florence, so we were in no hurry.

XIII. Ugh

Captain’s Log: Thursday, 27 July

Distance: Ferrara – Bologna, 68km

Captain’s Log: Sunday, 23 July

Today we walked around in the city again, what a surprise. And we sat down in some Cafés for Ice Cream, otherwise we wouldn’t have survived the heat. It doesn’t even get a bit colder in the night!

After dinner, we wandered around in the almost empty Weiterlesen...

VIII. First impressions

Captain’s Log: Saturday, 22 July

Distance: I don’t know how many kilometres we walked through the city…

It has been a very, very hot day, but we walked through the city anyway, theough the narrow streets and over the small bridges. I now like it even more.

I’m just wondering, why do they have doors right to the water? … Weiterlesen...

VII. Venice

Captain’s Log: Friday, 21 July

Distance: Caorle – Venice, 60km

As you might have guessed from the title already, we arrived in Venice today. Since we are here with another friend of mine, Jessy, and my Grandmother, there will be not many reports on what we did because it takes too much time. It’s going to be walking around and … Weiterlesen...
