V. Alpe Adria Route, the last

Captain’s Log: Wednesday, 19 July

Distance: Aquileia – Grado – Aquileia, Daytrip, 31km

We spent the day today in Grado, looking around, having a coffee and a Hot chocolate. Did I mention already that I’m going to try through as many Hot Chocolates as possible now? I want to find out where they have the best ones. This one in Grado was quite good.

While looking around in the town, I noticed how many bicycles were there.

I mean, they were standing around everywhere, I almost seemed like there were more bicycles than people driving them. And on the beaches were too many people. I’m still wondering how people are able to relax while being in such a crowded place.

Except from looking around and eating ice cream and sitting in Cafés, there didn’t happen much more today.

One noticeable thing is still worth mentioning. It seems like there are so many German speaking tourists in Grado that the second language there isn’t English but German. In the Cafés they rather speak German than English, which was a bit surreal for me, but whatever.

Klingt aber sehr chillig, Eis essen
    und heiße Schoki trinken!
