V. Copenhagen the second

Captain’s Log: Tuesday, 14 August 2018

Accommodation: Airbnb in Copenhagen

Sightseeing Day: Dragør & Copenhagen

Weather: Cloudy with a bit of sun

We started a little bit earlier than yesterday, since we wanted to have a little longer look around at the beach.

I have to say, I really like that beach. There are some areas where you could go swimming, and the water looked quite clear everywhere. Maybe it was because it was early in the morning, but the atmosphere was nice as well.

I’ve passed a geese farm as well, with a lot lot loud geese running around.

On the horizon we saw the bridge over to Malmö in Schweden. It kinda had a mystical look on it as it kind of vanished in the fog. And it is a really huge bridge. I’m already looking forward to tomorrow, when we are going to pass it with the train.

We sat there up on a hill a little while, until we took the bus into the city again.

There we visited the Church of Our Saviour, which had an interesting top.

Afterwards we walked through some sort of Hippievillage, where you could buy weed right on the street because apparently nobody cared about it?

Anyway, during our lunch break we had a cloudburst for like, half an hour, but luckily we were sitting inside. That was the only rain we got today, otherwise it was quite a nice weather.

We then took a bus to the Trivoli Gardens, some sort of amusement park, but against our hope it was not like our Prater, where you could just walk through, but you had to pay for the entrance as well. So we walked outside of it to the Rådhuspladsen, where the Pride Village was for this week, since it was the beginning of the Pride Week today here.

Before we went through there we had a short break in a Café, where I had the most expensive Hot Chocolate I’ve ever had. But on the upside, it was indeed really good, and it was a huge cup! A small, normal one might would not have been that expensive.

Since we still had enough time left and since we were close by, we decided to visit the Round Tower as well. And I have to say, the way up and the stairs were not that much as in the Peter’s Basilica for example, but the view from the top was still quite amazing.

After we got down again, we chilled out in the Rosenborg castle park nearby, before we decided ro go watch the sunset at the sea back in Dragør. Only disadvantage was, the sun did not set in the sea but over the land, but it was still a nice evening.

And tomorrow I would have to say goodbye to the little kitty…
