XLIII. Another day in Madrid

Today’s note to myself: Check things earlier and not just the evening before you need them, if you know already that you are going to need them.

I actually wanted to have breakfast on the rooftop of the hostel, but that was closed in the morning, so I went to the palace and ate my cornflakes there.

I did not do much today except wandering around a little bit again and enjoying the big park.

When I was sitting in the park eating something, I got sort of surrounded by these little fellas, even though I never gave them something?

Apparently they are so used to getting food that they are not really afraid of humans anymore. At some moments I wondered if they would steal my food out of my hand, but luckily they did not dare to.

Anyway, in the evening I looked up the train I wanted to take tomorrow, just to find out that they are either booked out or already very full and that it would not be possible to take a bike with me then? I did not think about that, since the last train I took was almost empty, so I tried to find an alternative and found a bus company which would take bicycles with them. Although I am not sure if the bike needs to be packed like in the airplane or not.

I also could stay one more night here in Madrid and look everything up tomorrow in peace, visiting the bus station and the train station to get some more information. Or I could just book a ticket at that bus for tomorrow and hope that they transport my bike as it is.

Decisions, I hate them.
