Captain’s Log: Monday, 22 July 2019
Distance: Matosinhos (09:30) – Mira (18:30), 103km
Accommodation: Vila Caia Camping
Weather: Cloudy and foggy, and a bit of sun
Today’s note to myself: You’re not going to make it to Lisbon in 3 days, stop trying.
I was quite cold in the morning, and also very foggy at the beach.

That looked more like out of a Thriller or something like this. But there were still people at the beach in this weather.

I had to ride my bike around Porto and up the river a bit, so that I could take the bridge and get to the other side. It was a bit of a detour, but it was good for driving.
I had to get away a bit from the coast again, but later I was at a lagoon, I think. At the end of it I had to take another ferry. This time the ferry did actually work, and I just had to wait a little bit with some other people.
The rest of the way was through some older villages with some new houses, some damaged ones, and a lot of grounds to sell.
I did not take a lot of pictures though. Apparently I want to get to Lisbon as fast as possible, and stopping and taking pictures always takes up time. But maybe tomorrow, when I fully accepted that I do not need to reach Lisbon in three days.

Da bist aber eh schon sehr weit gekommen! 💪🏻
