After packing our stuff and having a last nice breakfast in the Hostel, we brought our luggage to the main building of the hostel, where we were able to leave it for the day until we would head to the airport.
We visited the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, or short just Lateran, which had a huge front side, but was also very impressive from the inside.
I just have a picture of it in the night. Apparently I forgot to take some of it today.
Anyway, afterwards we walked into the city again, past the Colosseum, to the Pantheon and to the Gelateria with the 150 flavours again. Today it was Melon, Blackberry and Mousse au Chocolate for me.
We also took a look in some tourist shops, and I am still wondering why they actually sell daggers and knives. They were not sharp, so just for decoration, but still.
Our way led us then back to the Altare della Patria and back to the Colosseum again. Apparently there will be a marathon tomorrow.
That must be quite a nice route to run, with the Colosseum in your view the whole time.
Even Google Maps knew that this marathon is going to take place.
We finally arrived at the Hostel again and got to the train station to take the Leonardo Express to the airport which was the last stop on our journey.
Noch ein letzter schöner Rundgang! Ich glaube , du wirst da noch öfter hinfahren. ..Schon allein wegen der restlichen Eissorten…😂😆
